RTR-500 Operation Guide

Outline

The RTR-500 is a wireless communication port which can be set up as a "Base Unit" or a "Repeater" in a wireless data logging system with RTR-500 Series Data Loggers acting as Remote Units.

RTR-500 for Windows is the name of the software, made up of the following program applications, designed to allow the user to not only make all necessary RTR-500 settings and manage logging systems and devices, but also to process and view data.

For details about how to use each software application, see the HELP menu within that application.

Note:

The following terms are used throughout the documentation and Help as well as in the actual software programs. The definitions of the terms are as follows:

  • Base Unit = An RTR-500 Unit which has been set up to act as a Base Unit.
  • Remote Unit = Any RTR-500 Series Data Logger which has been set up and registered to a Base Unit to act as a Remote Unit for that Base Unit.
  • RTR-505 = RTR-505-TC/505-Pt/505-V/505-mA/505-P
  • Repeater = Any RTR-500 Unit which has been set up and registered to a Base Unit to act as a Repeater for communication between a Remote Unit and a Base Unit or for communication between Repeaters.
