Error Code List

This is an error code list explaining various common error codes that may appear while using the RTR-500GSM Settings Utility

NOTE:

If an error code appears that is not in the list below it may mean that there is a serious problem with the RTR-500GSM unit.
Please make a note of the error code that appears and contact the distributor from which you purchased the product.

Error Code List
Error Code: Problem Probable Cause and Solution
10003 The battery level in the RTR-500GSM is low. Replace with a new battery or connect to an external power source.
30004 The PIN lock setting for the SIM card failed. Enter the correct PIN number.

30005 The PIN unlock for the SIM card failed.
30006 The SIM Card is locked by your PUK number. Enter the correct PUK number and unlock the card.
30007 The SIM card is not being recognized. See RTR-500GSM Settings Utility a message appears saying that "This SIM card cannot be recognized", what should I do?
30008 The SIM card is locked by your PIN number. Run the "Initial Settings Wizard" again.
30010 Your PIN number is incorrect. Enter the correct PIN number.

30011 Your PUK number is incorrect. Enter the correct PUK number.

30013 A cell phone signal can not be found. Please make settings in an area where a cell phone signal can be received.
30014 The cell phone packet communication function is not working properly. Please check the GPRS settings

30015 Cannot login to the FTP server Please check the settings in the [FTP Settings] Menu.
If there are no problems with the settings, please contact your net service provider or the administrator for your FTP server.
30016 FTP communication failed

30021 When sending e-mail, there was an POP before SMTP authentication failure. Please check the settings in the [E-mail Settings] Menu.
If there are no problems with the settings, please contact your net service provider or the administrator for your mail server.
30022 When sending e-mail there was an SMTP authentication failure.
30024 E-mail failed to be sent.

30028 Cannot connect to the SMS service (SIM Card trouble) The SIM card is not compatible with RTR-500GSM and cannot be used.
For details contact your cell phone company or the place where you purchased the SIM card.

30029 Cannot connect to SMS service. The cell phone line may be busy.
Please wait and try to send the SMS again.
30030 Failed to send SMS

30090 RTR-500GSM is busy. The RTR-500GSM is busy with another process.
Please wait and try again.
40001 Wireless communication is busy. Another wireless communication session is being processed.
Please wait and try again.
40004 Wireless Communication Failure Change the position(s) of the Base Unit, Repeater(s), and /or the Remote Unit(s) and try again.

50001 No response from the Remote Unit (during Optical Communication) Make sure that the Remote Unit is face down and that the optical communication areas are aligned properly.
60001 GPS Sensor Communication Failure Check to make sure that the GPS sensor is properly connected.
