Basic Procedures

The following outline shows the basic procedures for getting a Unit ready, registering a Unit and making settings and using the Unit.

1. Getting Ready

Get the devices ready for set-up Please follow all directions for getting ready found in the Introductory Manual or User's Manual that came with the Unit.

2. Unit Registration and Settings

Open the RTR-500W Settings Utilityto make all the necessary registrations and settings.
If wireless communication between the Base Unit and Remote Units is poor or you wish to extend the transmission range, register the necessary number of Repeaters.

3. Placing the Units and Checking Signal Strength

Place the Base Unit, Remote Units and, if necessary, Repeaters in their actual positions. After placing them where they will be used, open the RTR-500W Settings Utilityand carry out signal strength tests.

4. Gather Current Readings, Monitor for Warnings and Automatically Send Recorded Data

Using the settings made in the RTR-500W Settings Utility the RTR-500NW/500AW will carry out the Auto-Sending of Recorded Data, Monitoring for Warnings and the Gathering of Current Readings.

5. Viewing Data

View the downloaded data in graph form using the Temperature / Humidity Graph program or the Multi-scale Graph program.


Useful Features and Functions

If necessary to make adjustments to measurement readings, use the Adjustment Tools application.

If you wish to download recorded data via methods other than wireless communication, it is possible to directly download from a Remote Unit to a PC using the Data Downloading Tools.
